If only I had a couple more weeks notice, I could have taken advantage of a few vacation days and gone to see the Alan Aldridge exhibit at the Design Museum in London. Of course, the day that I learn about this exhibit, is the day after it has finished. It was called The Man with Kaleidoscope Eyes.
Alan is a huge inspiration from his whimsically fantastical illustrations, and his many graphical projects that were well known in the 60s and 70s. Possibly most well known for his visual interpretation of the Beatles Illustrated Lyric book. The exhibit looked like an alice and wonderland trip mixed with a musically visual aesthetic that would leave me wandering for hours in awe.
Today he is my source of inspiration and I hope I get to cross paths with some of his work in person.
